When it comes to candle making, two terms chandlers know are cold throw and hot throw.
Cold throw - the scent the candle produces when unlit
Hot throw - the scent the candles produces when lit
Not all fragrance oils are created equal. Some perform better in soy than others. We test and try all of our candles before we sell them ensuring there is a decent hot throw with all of them. Some of the stronger scents have a strong enough cold throw, that when unlit and the lid is off, still product a pleasing aroma.
